Hands on Review of Huawei Watch 2

The Huawei watch 2 is successor of one of the most loved smart watch by Huawei. It made a huge impact on market but with the release of two new variants Huawei want to stand up again to that glory against the Apple, Samsung and LG with its new features. So this article is about an experience with watch 2.

Build Quality

Watch 2 is made up of plastic all around rather than its old metallic design. It has been more bulky and thicker and 0.2 inch smaller than the original. The main concern is the wrist band as it fits perfectly to your wrist, as a case for me it has a good grip but then there is very less amount of flexibility available on the joint with the watch, so it does look it will break down.

It has two buttons on right side, the upper button is for taking you to app drawer or bringing back to home screen and the lower button is programmable, it will take you directly to fitness apps.

Performance

Performance on this watch is managed by Qualcomm Snapdragon wear 2100 with 768 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Apps open fast as compared to older wear and feels more responsive to touch. The 1.2 inches AMOLED display does its work properly in bright sunlight.

Battery Life

Huawei promises to give a 2 days of battery life with 420mAh with connectivity. It also has a battery saver mode in which all smart features will be closed and will only show time that will give more than 2 days of backup, but in my case as a heavy user I like to always scroll on the watch I got like 1 and a half day of backup which is pretty good.

Key Features

Main attraction of the watch 2 is its connectivity options provided like LTE, 2G, 3G with GPRS, Bluetooth WiFi and EDGE connection and sensors like Accelerometer, gyro, heart rate, barometer, and compass.

Making calls was not a best experience, because of the small speakers the receiver was also complaining about the noise but I don’t complain about that because there are very few people who would like to call through a watch.
