This is the phone by Android – Essential exclusive announcement

The phone which we were waiting for a long time is now being officially announced. This bezel-less smartphone is brought to us by the co-founder of Android. It’s a stunning flagship with everything a person wants in a smartphone.

Now let’s move towards its features and specification. Essential has got a stunning bezel-less display with an inbuilt front camera which is kind of in an awkward place. The front camera is built by cutting a curved display at the top so I don’t know how the screen will adjust itself while opening apps. It has an edge to edge display but has little bezel at bottom of the phone but nevertheless, it’s as close to the whole front of a phone being display as I’ve seen.

The smartphone comes equipped with a 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and also has got the latest Snapdragon version i.e. Snapdragon 835. It looks like Essential has not added any junk software to its smartphone which slows down the device and also even has not added a logo on the device.

I might say Essential has come up with a really good smartphone which has no annoying logo on it and is made up of the combination of titanium and ceramic so it can survive a drop test “without blemish” not like Samsung, Apple which makes their devices with aluminum which are unable to survive drop tests.

There are various cool accessories which can be found on the market and they don’t come with smartphones but here Essential is trying to make its own ecosystem of accessories. Essential will be shipping a 360-degree camera that can click into the top of the phone, and the company will also offer a charging dock. Both connect to the phone with small metal pogo pins. They won’t entirely replace USB-C for most people, but Essential is clearly hoping that they could someday.

This smartphone won’t be coming up with the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack but will ship with a headphone dongle in the box. It’s possible that other audio accessories could be made that could clip onto the magnetic accessory port.

Moving towards its camera it has got two 12 MP rear cameras Rather than using the second lens for telephoto or bokeh, it’s using it for a monochrome sensor like the Huawei P9 and P10. The front-facing camera is an 8 MP camera which has the capability of shooting 4k videos.

This smartphone is priced at $699 and will be coming in 4 color variants named Black Moon, Stellar Grey, Pure White, and Ocean Depths.
