Amazon echo now with a display launched

Amazon has officially launched its new version of Amazon echo and this time with a display built-in. It is an Alexa powered speaker with a touchscreen display in it. Unlike its predecessor which was cylindrical in shape, now the newer version has changed to a rectangular shape.

Now you will be able to do things which you weren’t able to do in past with the older version of echo like play YouTube videos, watch videos of security cameras, view photos and also do video chat with it, all thanks to its new design which has a built-in touchscreen display. It features a 7- inch diagonal touchscreen display with a 5 MP camera on its front above the screen and two Dolby speakers underneath.

The echo has a built-in functionality to play on-screen lyrics with amazon music and can also stream songs from other services like Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn and iHeartRadio. Like the older echo this time also it has 8 built-in microphones with noise cancellation feature so as to pick voice clearly. The echo also has compatibility to control wide range of smart appliances like Philips Hue, Ring, WeMo, Wink and ecobee.

The echo show is available for preorder at the price of $229 in the US (£220 in the UK and €240 in Germany) and will be shipped on June 28. Echo show is available in two colors i.e. black and white. These can be bought in two pack saving $100.
