Performance enhanced 2019 Yamaha R3 GYTR showcased at EICMA 2018

Since the time the Yamaha R15 got into production, its performance has been enhanced with every coming version. Here, we are with the new 2019 Yamaha R3 with an all-new GYTR kit this time in which GYTR stands for Genuine Yamaha Racing Technology.

Coming to the engine and performance. Powering the R3 is a 320 cc, DOHC, parallel twin featuring a 4-valve cylinder head, 32 mm throttle body fuel injection and 6-speed transmission. Dig a bit deeper and you will find many of the high tech features found in our R6 power plant inside this engine too. Highway speeds are easily obtainable making the R3 a very versatile machine.

For the body, we can say that the R3 utilizes a lightweight diamond type steel frame which is narrow and compact with a low 780mm (30.7″) seat height.

The new 2019 YZF-R3, boasting next-generation R-series styling and updated handling to bring it more in line with its supersport stablemates. The new fuel tank and cover shape follow the restyled lines back to the rider, sitting 20mm lower at the fuel cap while being 31.4mm wider above the rider’s knees. ABS is available for $300 above the $4,999 base price. The new R3 could be spotted in the market around December. The price range available would be $4,999 / $5,299 (ABS). The top speed of the R3 is around 117 mph.
