Xiaomi Mi Max 2 launched with large screen and power

Xiaomi today came up with its newer member of Mi family, Xiaomi Mi Max 2. It was unveiled today in Beijing and boasts pretty good features.

The device has full metal unibody and rounded edges and as the name ‘Max’ suggests, it has a pretty big 6.44-inch display. Max does not only signifies display but also the battery capacity which is 5,300 mAh.

If we look into the specifications, then the device houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4 GB of RAM. IT comes in two variants one with 64 GB of internal storage and other with a 128 GB storage, and it also supports microSD card up to 128 GB. Well, the resolution of the display is yet not confirmed but the reports suggest it will be a 1080p display.

On the back, it has a 12 MP Sony IMX386 camera sensor with large pixels of 1.25µm with phase detection autofocus and a fingerprint sensor. It also includes an IR blaster and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.

One of the features of this phone that company is highlighting is the setup of dual power stereo speakers. They can switch from mono to stereo when the device is in landscape orientation. The device comes with Quick charge 3.0 which Xiaomi claims can power the battery up to 68% in one hour charge.

The 64 GB variant is priced at 1,699 yuan (around $245) and the 128 GB variant is priced at 1,999 yuan (around $290).
