P1 is a premium in its looks and is a high-end Android device with a metal frame. It has a hybrid dual-SIM slot on the left edge. Power and Volume buttons are on the right edge. Situated at the bottom edge are the speaker grille, a USB Type – C port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Nokia P1 is expected to be in Silver, Black and Rose gold color options.Nokia P1 smartphone is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will have a 5.3inch display with Gorilla glass 5 on top. It is expected to have a full HD or QHD screen resolution. The phone is supposed to pack the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM.
For its optics, Nokia P1 is tipped to feature Zeiss certified 22.6 – megapixel rear camera and also comes with IP57-certification for being dust free and water resistant.
The phone will feature 3500mAh battery, with quick charging feature. Also, additional storage options will be available for 128 GB and 256 GB capacity.
The Nokia P1will be in two variants. The 128 GB variant is expected to start at $800 and 256 GB variant at $950.
The smartphone is going to be unveiled at MWC which is being hosted by HMD Global on Feb 26, 2017. The official price and availability will be announced at the opening function only. If the previous launch is any indication, the launching of NOKIA P1 is likely to be ‘China only launch’, the other international markets getting it later on.
