Google is already set up to bring out a brand new Google Earth service soon. The company is sending out press invites for a media event in New York City on 18 April, where the company will show the major update in Google Earth.
Everyone is familiar with Google Earth service, it allows users to see high quality satellite images of earth. It was launched back in 2001 by a company called Keyhole and was named EarthViewer 3D. Google acquired both Keyhole and EarthViewer 3D in 2004 and launched it in 2005 as Google Earth. Google has added several great features till then, now users are allowed to see satellite images of moon, mars and other celestial and astronomical bodies alongside with street view on Earth.
This news was first spotted by The Next Web, the invite does not offer any certain details about the new update, it only mentions about when the event is going to be held on April 18th, 8:30 AM ET at New York’s Whitney Museum of Art.
