Xiaomi Mi 6 features and specifications in detail

Xiaomi recently came out with their new flagship device Mi 6. It was launched at an event in China on 19 April. The device not only provides you with the latest specs but also comes with some amazing colors.

Well, Xiaomi is not just an underdog now, it is competing with other mobile manufacturing giants and providing smartphones at a far better price to specs ratio. And that has been the case why Xiaomi has been able to get a hold such a vast consumer base.

With the launch of Mi 6, Xiaomi has again tried to bring out a powerhouse but at a much affordable price than other flagships out there.

Let’s have a look at the detailed specifications of the device.

The bring out the best in performance Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with the Qualcomm’s latest processor that is Snapdragon 835 which is paired with Adreno 540 GPU which is certainly going to provide you with a smooth experience while gaming.

If we talk about the storage it consists of whooping 6 GB of RAM and has two variants for internal storage – one is equipped with 64 GB and the other with 128 GB. But one thing that may act as a drawback for some users is that you may not be able to use microSD card as it has no option of expanding storage.

Now looking at the design of the device, it is certainly not with the likes of Galaxy S8 or LG G6 as it has the four-sided curved 3D glass, and it comes with a stainless steel frame which is covered between two layers of glass. Xiaomi has claimed that it takes 12 days and 40 different processes to achieve that finish on the frame. Beneath the display is a home button which has an inbuilt fingerprint scanner.

Well, design is certainly not like S8 or G6 but they quite followed up on iPhone 7 as they too have removed the headphone jack from the device.

The screen size on Mi 6 is 5.15 inches and it is a full HD display with 16:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi has also added an ‘Eye Care’ mode which filters out some of the blue light.

Apart from all this Mi 6 is splash resistant and supports a 3350 mAh battery.

Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with a dual camera setup at the rear with a 12 MP wide-angle sensor that supports 4 axis stabilization, and the telephoto lens allowing a 2x optical lossless zoom. It also has an 8 MP front camera for all selfie lovers out there.

Xiaomi Mi 6 comes in two variants, one with 64 GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 2,499 ($360) and the other with an internal storage of 128 GB is priced at CNY 2,899 ($435).

Well getting such a great specs at such an affordable price point is certainly great. There are not many phones out there offering great specs at such price point apart from OnePlus 3T, but this Mi 6 is certainly cheaper than that and on paper looks to have far better specs.
