Germany has stormed in the FIFA Confederation Cup finale on the account of amazing twin strike by Leon Goretzka. Facing Mexico in the semi-finals, Germany won 4-1. Germany will now compete against Chile in the final which will be held in St Petersburg. On the other hand, Mexico will face Portugal for the third place in Moscow.
Leon Goretzka showed an attacking game along with time Werner and come in substitute Amin Younes. They scored a total of 4 goals against Mexico. On the other side, Marco Fabian scored from an amazing free kick to open the account for Mexico.
Leon Goretzka said that “We now need to reward ourselves for our hard work and we want to get the title”.
Germany’s Captain Julian Draxler said in his speech, “We already played them in the group stage and we know they are good, they are one of the best teams in the competition I have seen so far”
On the other side, Mexican coach, Juan Carlos said that “The side had twice as many shots as the Germans, but could not take convert them. Our way of playing is very aggressive. We try to get forward all the time and we paid for that. They are fair winners, but the scoreline would seem to suggest they were way better and I don’t think that was the case”
Now all eyes are on the final to be held on Sunday. Our sports panel will have a detailed report on that fixture. Till then stay tuned with KNine Vox for more news and updates.
