The latest Android release is rocking on some flagship devices, but there are many smartphone manufacturers that have claimed that they will soon be releasing Android O update, but within an uncertain time limit.
With Pixel and Nexus devices certain of getting the update, below is a list of few of the devices that will be updated to Android O:
Xiaomi recently released Mi A1 smartphones with Google and promised that they will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo by the end of the year. Also, company’s latest flagship Mi Mix 2, Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4, Redmi 4A, Mi Max 2, Mi 6 and Mi Note 3 will also be getting Android O update.
All the latest Nokia releases will be updated to Android O. The much anticipated Nokia 9 is rumored to be running Android O out of the box.
Samsung is known to release the updates a bit late, but still, it will be rolling out Oreo update to lots of devices. Starting with Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8 certain to get the update. Galaxy S8 Active, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, S7 Active, A7 (2017), A5 (2017), A3 (2017), J7 (2017), J5 Pro (2017), J7 Max, C9 Pro, C7 Pro, and Tab S3 will also be getting the update.
Motorola confirmed certain devices on its blog that will be getting O update, Moto Z, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Z Play, Z Play Droid, Z2 Play, Z2 Force Edition, X4, G5, G5 Plus, G5S and G5S Plus are among them.
Google devices are almost certain to get the update and are the first to get the update.
Sony also confirmed some of the smartphones that will be upgraded to Android O. The list includes Xperia X, X Performance, XZ, X Compact, XZ Premium, XZs, XA1 Ultra, Touch and XA1 Plus.
OnePlus doesn’t have many devices, so the latest releases will be getting the update. OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will be getting the Android Oreo update.
Huawei will update P10, Honor 8 Pro, Honor 8, Honor 8 Lite, Honor 6X and Mate 9 to Android O.
The latest releases G6 and Q6 will be getting Android O update most likely. Some other phones such as G5, V20, Q8 might get the update.
The list includes Zenfone 4 series, ZenFone Pro, ZenFone Go, ZneFone Live, Zenfone 3s Max, Zenfone AR, Zenfone 3 Zoom, Zenfone 3 Max, Zenfone 3 Deluxe 5.5.
Oppo and Vivo are probably the slowest devices to update their devices. However Vivo’s Vivo X9 and X9 Plus, and Oppo F3 Plus, R11 and R11 Plus are likely to get the update.
