Snapchat has recently added a new feature to its app. Now snapchat would be able to detect dogs face just like it does for humans and can add various filters to dogs faces. Earlier humans used to add filters and become dogs but now, the company is going full circle and adding lenses specifically for dogs.
This feature has already been added to the app and people can now take photos and videos of their dogs and then turn those photos and videos into something interesting. Although the additional lenses for dogs are adorable, it’s not Snapchat’s first foray into the pet market. The company first launched special lenses for cats last month.
The initial launch will have a handful of pup-friendly lenses and Snapchat promises more will be on the way in the near future. The dog lenses are just the latest extension of the company’s improving object recognition. Last year Snapchat introduced filters that could identify food, sports equipment and pets and provide custom overlays based on what was in the frame.
