OnePlus has always been known for its higher and faster performing products. The company has always tried to keep their smartphone in two categories where one is the mid range handsets costing around $500 to $600 like OnePlus 7 and then, on the other hand, keeping their Premium High-end flagship products around the price range of $700 to $800 like we have OnePlus 7 Pro which is also the current flagship device of the tech giant. OnePlus 7T, the most recent product that the company launched on 26th September 2019 somewhere lies between these two groups.
Here are some of the key specs and features the new device has in store for its users:
OnePlus 7T is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor which is the latest and an updated version of the flagship processor Snapdragon 855. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The OnePlus 7T runs OxygenOS 10 based on Android 10 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The OnePlus 7T is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
OnePlus 7T has got a huge 6.55-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels at a pixel density of 402 pixels per inch (ppi) making it a slightly smaller than the OnePlus 7 Pro. The device has a tear-drop notch at the top of the display. The company this time has gone for a flat screen display rather than round curved edges. It has got a refresh rate of 90Hz which is the best we have seen in this price range. Bezels are a little bit thick making it a good display but not the best out there.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the OnePlus 7T on the rear packs a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.6 aperture and a pixel size of 0.8-micron; a second 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 12-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup has phase detection autofocus. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture and a pixel size of 1.0-micron.
OnePlus 7T comes with a 3800mAh non-removable battery which supports fast charging. Connectivity options on the OnePlus 7T include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The OnePlus 7T supports face unlock.
Now answering the Big Question what is the price you will have to pay to bring a OnePlus 7T to your home? OnePlus 7T is available at a price of $399. So overall OnePlus 7T is a ‘value for money’ deal. For the devices in this price range, definitely OnePlus 7T will surely lead the race with better and faster performance.
