Alphabet-owned Wing has started out making drone deliveries to US customers. Making it the first commercial drone delivery service to the homes in the US. Wing is doing pilot runs and is working with FedEx, Walgreens, and local retailer Sugar Magnolia, and will drop off medications.
Wing was the first company to get permission to make deliveries by Federal Aviation Administration.
Wing working with Virginia’s Sugar Magnolia, a local retailer is providing last-mile eCommerce solutions to its customers at their homes. Sugar Magnolia customers can get small items, including chocolates and paper goods, delivered directly to them via drone through the new pilot.
