According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Amazon has been working on a new payment system that won’t require your cards but your hand. The new system will scan users’ hands and will process the payment on any purchase.
This system implemented in physical retail stores would help customers to quickly make payments without carrying any form of cash or cards.
Users will have to scan their hands in stores against their credit or debit cards, this will allow the scanning terminal to store the payment information for that scanned user. From then on the user will only have to scan their hand at the merchant to process the payment.
Amazon has been creating new ways to facilitate payments systems across the world, whether it is through Alexa or their amazon app. But this particular system can have a wider impact and can help users to process their daily payments from stores they regularly visit.
