There have been reports surfacing online that Christian Bale is set to play the villain in Thor: Love and Thunder. But recently these were confirmed by co-star Tessa Thompson on the red-carpet interview for Season 3 premiere of Westworld.
She said:
“Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic. I’ve read the script. I can’t tell you much. Lots of exciting text messages exchanged between Natalie and I. We’re going to have fun. Taika is writing [and] directing. Some familiar faces. Some new people coming into the mix.”
Christian Bale is not new to playing comic book characters. Being played Batman in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy, this is an interesting jump from DC to Marvel Cinematic Universe for Bale.
For now, it is not clear which character he is going to play, but according to some sources, it is predicted that he will be playing Beta Ray Bill.
Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is set to return for Thor 4, with Natalie Portman also set to reprise her role as Jane Foster.
