Huawei recently launched P10 and P10 Plus at MWC 2017. But now they have announced a budget version of the device which they call P10 Lite. This device was announced only a few weeks ago and will go on sale on 31 March 2017.
The phone comes with a 5.20 inch IPS LCD touch screen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The name ‘Lite’ gives us an idea about the specs of the device, it is powered by a 2.15 GHz octa-core Kirin 658 processor and that is why the phone will not feel so fast and fluid.
It comes with 4GB of RAM and has an internal storage of 32GB expandable via a microSD card upto 128GB. The company has tried to provide the same software feel as of P10 with EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The fingerprint scanner is located on the back and along with that it has a 12 MP camera but this time without a Leica branding that was seen on P10. On the front it has an 8 MP camera to click selfies. P10 Lite’s camera app also has a portrait selfie mode for bokeh effect.
Huawei P10 Lite will be offered in Midnight Black and Platinum Gold options with ceramic sandblasted finish on the back. This device houses a 3000 mAh battery which supports fast charging. It also has a dual SIM connectivity. There is also an additional feature called ‘Knuckle Sense’ which helps you draw on the screen using your knuckles.
The device has been officially launched in the UK and it carries a price tag of 299 GBP. It will go up on pre-orders and will be on sale on 31 March 2017.
