Rain and Yuvraj Singh’s form will be the points of focus on the 2nd ODI between India and West Indies. The first ODI gave no result as rain washed away the whole match. Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane were the two bright points of India in the first ODI. What’s worrying for The captain is the form of Yuvraj Singh.
In his innings, Yuvraj Singh was lacking confidence and couldn’t play his shorts well and got out just scoring 4 runs.
His bad form continues from the Champions trophy where he could only manage to score one half century in his three innings. No one is questioning the capability and talent of Yuvraj Singh, but age seems to be going against him.
His fielding has also been a point of worry for the captain and he hasn’t even been used as a part time spinner.
Recently Rahul Dravid also raised a point of the place of two veterans Yuvraj Singh and M.S Dhoni in the team. He urged the management to start preparing a team that will play in the World Cup 2019.
All eyes are on Rishabh Pant who is expected to get a palce in playing 11 in this series. Kuldeep Yadav has already got the place in the first 1st ODI.
In 2nd ODI, the team is likely to be unchanged and it is expected that Rain will again come into play.
India would love to play a full match so as to test the likes of Kuldeep Yadav and other players.
