Snapdragon recently announced their new flagship processor, Snapdragon 845, which will be a successor to Snapdragon 835. Now, this processor will inevitably power next year’s top smartphones and what this new chipset brings is a series of upgrades from power to security and better battery life for the smartphone and their users.

1. Better Performance
Every year Snapdragon comes out with a new flagship processor with even more power and that is something we can expect with Snapdragon 845. It comes with an 8 core Qualcomm® Kryo™ 385 CPU with a max clock speed of up to 2.8 GHz. It all translates to 25% more power which means apps will load faster and run smoothly than before.
2. Face Unlock feature
Oualcomm says that its new chip will be able to provide face scanning features as similar to what is provided on high end devices. Apple’s Face ID can analyze 30,000 dots on the face whereas Snapdragon 845 will be able to provide analysis of 50,000 dots.
3. Better Gaming
This new CPU comes out with Adreno 630 GPU which offers a 30 percent improvement in graphics and video rendering as compared to its predecessor. This will eventually provide a better experience to gamers.
4. Improved Camera
This new CPU will equip smartphones to capture better photos and shoot better videos. Devices will be able to capture 16 MP images at 60 fps and 4K videos can be shot at 60 fps in HDR.
5. Security
Snapdragon 845 also features a separate processor known as “Secure Processing Unit”. It acts a vault to save any kind of biometric data such as fingerprint, iris scans, or even face scans. According to Qualcomm t was necessary to take security to next level as biometric identification is on rise.
