Mexico’s win over Germany was no less than a surprise, and they celebrated the goal in a way that it caused an artificial earthquake in the Mexico City. The earthquake was detected at the instance when Hirving Lozano scored a goal — the only goal of Mexico’s world cup game with Germany.
The artificial earthquake was triggered by the massive jumping after the goal as explained by SIMMSA, they monitor seismic activity of the area. This clearly defines how passionate are the football fans in the country.
A fan tweeted this describing the passion of the Mexican fans:
there was an artificial earthquake in mexico city caused by the celebration of mexico’s goal and if that doesn’t tell you how passionate mexican fans are then i don’t know what will

SIMMSA described the seismic activity in the following tweet:
El #sismo detectado en la Ciudad de México se originó de manera artificial. Posiblemente por saltos masivos durante el Gol de la selección de #México en el mundial. Por lo menos dos sensores dentro de la Ciudad lo detectaron a las 11:32. pic.twitter.com/mACKesab3b

Mexican fans have set a new standard for the celebrations, keep a watch on their next game, maybe there is another earthquake on the watch.
