Have you ever wondered if you could recharge your phone by using power from another device? If you have more than one Apple devices, you have probably run into the scenario where some devices have lots of power while another is in desperate need of a charge.
Well, Apple just had the most amazing idea of them all which will truly amaze each and every one of you. Apple just submitted a patent(a government authority or license conferring a right or title for a set period, especially the sole right to exclude others from making, using, or selling an invention) to the US Patent and Trademark Office which states that they can make such an invention where we can recharge our device by taking power from another device. As per a report by Apple Insider, the patent application for “Inductive charging between electronic devices”, suggests ways for two devices to recharge each other’s batteries. What this essentially means that if you have a drained iPhone and own an iPad which is charged, you can use it to recharge your phone. This can happen through the use of inductive coils, which are used to perform wireless charging. However, where the application differs from how wireless charging currently works is that the same inductive coils will now be used to transmit as well as receive power.
The reason for this invention to be an innovative one is that now one does not need to carry their chargers and wires everywhere and finding a port every now and then wondering if your phone will be left with any battery till the end of the day or not. As said earlier, if you have an iPhone and you are worried about its power draining, and you have another apple device, let’s say a MacBook or an iPad, then you can just connect the two devices with inductive coils and your phone will take power from the device is connected to and it will be charged again.
This is just a thought right now but the patent has been taken out and according to the resources, work has already started to make this thought into an amazing reality. This could surely be the future of technology.
