Instagram is testing a new feature to hide the like counts on the photos, as spotted by Jane Wong. This feature will hide the count of likes from the audiences so they won’t be able to find the number of likes a picture has got.
Wong wrote in the twitter post that Instagram wants “your followers to focus on what you share, not how many likes your posts get”, so only the person sharing the picture would be able to see how many likes the post has received.

An Instagram spokesperson talked to THe Verge: “We’re not testing this at the moment, but exploring ways to reduce pressure on Instagram is something we’re always thinking about.”
Likes is a core functionality of the platform and maybe there is no plan to hide like counts at the moment.
But we have to see how Instagram changes its functions as Likes is one of the main assets that helps influencers market their worth.
