Facebook and Instagram were showing errors and problems on Thursday to users around the globe. People shared their agony on Twitter.
As usual, as soon as these platforms went down, the users rushed to Twitter to figure out what is happening. And within minutes #FacebookDown and #InstragramDown were trending worldwide.
Acknowledging the problem that the people were facing, Instagram wrote on Twitter,
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook’s family of apps, including Instagram. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. #InstagramDown”.
The Facebook login page also aware of the situation wrote “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.”
There had been widespread reports of problems right across the globe, with users saying they’re unable to post to Facebook or view stories on Instagram (where outages seem to be worst). There had even been some reports of problems with Messenger, too.
Knowing that there is a holiday today in America and many other parts of the globe, it is really inconvenient for these errors and problems to occur. People need to post photos and share stories at this time of the year and the two most widely used social networking apps going down will make a lot of people unhappy. But it seems that the outage only existed for a few hours.
