Trailer for Black Widow’s first solo movie is finally here

After a phase of Marvel ended with a blast with Avengers Endgame, they decided to start the next phase by releasing the next set of movies. The first in that phase would be the prequel movie of Black widow starring Scarlett Johansson.

The movie takes place right after the events of Captain America: Civil War and before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. The teaser trailer sees Nat meet up with her “sis” Yelena (Florence Pugh) and the rest of her assassin “family,” including David Harbour’s Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz’s character Melina.

From the trailer, it seems that Nat brings all of her family members together as a reunion to “go back to where it all started” to finish it. This means we get to know the training center or the organization where she was made into Black Widow, a killing machine.

Disney Plus is now live in the US, the best streaming platform?

The movie will also function as a prequel of sorts, exploring Black Widow’s past. Even though the character has been with audiences for about a decade, her past — her training as an assassin; her entry into the Black Widow program; her time as a KGB agent — is still unknown to fans.

This is the first solo movie about Natasha Romanoff a.k.a Black Widow who first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2010’s Iron Man 2. This movie will not continue from where Endgame ended because that would not make sense to anybody as the character is dead now. This movie instead will take place in the window of time between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

Black Widow will hit theaters on May 1, 2020.
