No. 1 ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic has tested positive for coronavirus after being part of several exhibition matches that he organized under his Adrian Tour.
Djokovic announced on Tuesday that he and his wife both have tested positive for COVID-19. This happened after Djokovic was part of series of matches he played in Serbia and Croatia and there were no social distancing norms being followed in the events.
Djokovic was not the only person being infected by Coronavirus, Grand Slam semifinalist Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric, and Viktor Troicki were also tested positive. They all participated in matches organized by Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic has been very vocal against the public health norms for COVID-19. He threw a massive party celebrating the event where social distancing was nowhere to be seen.
This has put a threat to future tennis events that are scheduled to be held.
