TikTok has until September 15 to sell its U.S. operations before Trump’s executive order bans it from operating in the United States. Microsoft has already shown interest in buying TikTok but now Twitter also seems to be interested in making a deal.
There has been a lot of drama going on as to who buys TikTok US operations, with many reports suggesting that even Apple was looking for options to buy TikTok.
Now in recent reports, it is being suggested that Twitter has shown a great deal of interest in buying the company but the only problem remains is the capital that places Twitter in a much difficult spot than Microsoft.
Microsoft has the capital flow and is a massive company and can afford to buy TikTok. For Twitter to buy TikTok it needs some serious partners to support to seal the deal.
TikTok’s market capitalization is in tens of billions of dollars according to some estimates which makes Microsoft the favorite to finalize the deal.
TikTok has also threatened to take legal action against the US government for the executive order signed by Trump that bans TikTok and WeChat from the US. President Trump has set 15 September deadline for the deal to be finalized or unless TikTok would be banned.
