Mandalorian season 2 ended in quite a surprising note. The post credits scene gave a glimpse that another Mandalorian spinoff show ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ will be arriving on Disney Plus in December 2021.
Executive producer Jon Favreau appeared on the Good Morning America show to confirm that Book of Boba Fett will be coming as a whole new series. The new series will be set in the Mandalorian world and Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez are set to produce the series.
Production on The Mandalorian’s third season will take place right after The Book of Boba Fett. Several other Star War projects were announced last week including two other Mandalorian spinoffs, an Ashoka Tano show and Rangers of the New Republic.
Having a Boba Fett series is a great opportunity for Disney Plus, which is certainly looking to grow its catalogue and will certainly have more subscribers.
