Battlefield 2042 trailer is here and it totally epic, pre-orders open

EA has finally released the trailer for their next Battlefield installment, Battlefield 2042 is set in the near future with various forces fighting each other, consisting of refugees, the USA, and Russia.

The trailer is totally epic detailing the various kind of maps and the kind of warfare that the players can be part of. But something that stands out is the amazing fighter jet trick that makes this trailer truly stand out.

Watch the trailer below:

Battlefield 2042 is going to have three modes: All-Out Warfare, Hazard Zone, and a third mode that is currently under development with DICE developers.

The trailer gives the feel that the game is going to be a battle royale but that is not entirely true. All-Out Warfare will include conquests and breakthroughs whereas Hazard Zone will be a squad-based multiplayer experience.

Battlefield 2042 is introducing various maps including South Korea, Singapore, Egypt, Qatar, and Antarctica. There will be many events that will disrupt the gameplay, such as a rocket about to take off.

There are also dynamic weather events built into the game that includes a tornado that appears on the map out of nowhere and starts to gulp everyone inside of it.

The game will support matches of up to 128 players on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5. On Xbox One and PS4, rounds will be capped at 64 players, and the maps will be scaled down a bit.

Otherwise, updates and gameplay will be the same on all platforms, though DICE has yet to confirm cross-play capabilities.

Battlefield 2042, will be released on October 22, 2021. But the game is available for pre-orders, for PCs, Xbox One, and PS4 it’ll cost $60. For Xbox Series X and PS5, it is $70.

It is a big move by EA and DICE, who suffered a bad reception for their Battlefield V that was released with a large single-player content mode at a time when battle royale was at its peak. Battlefield 2042 is EA’s chance to right the wrong.
