The spread of COVID-19 has forced people to remain inside and practice Social Distancing. Not only common people but major events and shows have also faced the havoc caused by Coronavirus as most of these events are being canceled or delayed.
One such event is the 73rd Cannes Film Festival which was scheduled to take place from May 12 to 23. The announcement was made through a tweet on March 19:

Looking into the rapid development of the spread of new Coronavirus cases, the organization has decided to postpone the event, but they still hope that the event can be organized later this year at the end of June or start of July.
France has gone national lockdown, with President announcing various strict measures to stop the spread of the virus. The country is completely shut down for 15 days starting from March 17.
