Google Rolling out Android 7.1.2

This Monday, Google released its public beta version of the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update. This is known to be as the next updated release of Android Nougat. The company is rolling out the beta for the devices enrolled through the Android Beta program.With this update, Google claims to fix the existing bugs and also brings in a few optimizations. The latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat update has been available to Pixel and other devices like Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player, and Pixel C.

Dave Burke, VP of engineering said, “Android 7.1.2 is an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements, so it includes a number of bug fixes and optimizations accompanied with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users,”.

Google also cleared the fact that eligible devices that have already been taken into consideration and they should start receiving the Android 7.1.2 Nougat public beta in coming few days via over-the-air updates.

Unfortunately, Google has not included Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 devices in the list for the Android 7.1.2 update. Last year, Google strategically shifted from nexus to pixel. Earlier Nexus used to reflect Google’s Android in most pure form, but now Google has shifted its base to pixel and they are now offering all the premium smartphone experience through the pixel.
