Date of launch:
The Samsung Galaxy S8 was earlier expected to be launched in February, then it was rumored that the device will be launched at MWC this year, but that rumor was also discarded by Samsung’s mobile chief Koh-Dong-jin. The most recent rumor on the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is now said to be nearly from March 29 to April 18. Its release date in India is still not confirmed.
Display:
Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to feature a dual edge curved display having a negligible bezel. There were few rumors that the screen to body ratio is kept at 90 percent. Few other reports state that the Samsung galaxy S8 will have a 5.5 inch 4k super AMOLED display having a resolution of 2160×3840 pixels. It has been said that the screen will have an amazing pixel density of 806ppi. There are also few rumors that Samsung galaxy S8 will be available in two variants namely S8 and S8 plus or S8 edge. They are said to be having a different screen size of 5.7 inch and 6.2 inch respectively.
Home Button:
Samsung’s old home button is expected to loose its place in Galaxy S8, it is expected that the device will not have home buttons and capacitive buttons too. This also gives a doubt about the placement of fingerprint sensor on the device. As it is expected that the home button will not be there, hence it is rumored that the fingerprint sensor will be placed on the back side of the device. Another rumor notes that the device may feature a fingerprint scanner on the display having an ability to read fingerprints.
Virtual Assistant:
After the acquisition of VIV labs, Samsung is expected to give an artificial intelligence service named Bixby, it will be available through pre-installed apps. Kninevox has also managed to dig out a rumor that the male voice assistant is named as Bixby and female voice assistant is named as Kestra.
Processor:
The giant phone is liked to be fueled by Snapdragon 835 SoC, but there are more confirmed rumors about the fact that Samsung will use Exynos-8895. Talking about RAM, it is said that it will have a 6GB OR 8GB RAM.
Pressure Sensitive Display:
The pressure sensitive display will help the user to perform different functions if the screen is pressed harder or normally, this helps the user to access more functions on the screen by just a small variation in pressure applied on the screen. Goldman Sachs predicted that the price of the Samsung galaxy S8 will be kept around 15 to 20 percent higher than Samsung Galaxy S7.There have been further rumors that the price will be around EUR 850 for the S8 variant and EUR 950 for the S8 plus variant.
