Google investing $875 million in LG displays to give pixel a curved display

A fresh rumor has come which is really interesting to hear. Press in South Korea are reporting that Google is in talks to invest one trillion KRW ($875 million) in LG Display, one of the world’s best producer of screens for smartphones and tablets, will now be making screen of upcoming pixel to give it a curved display.

Press has also said that this investment will be a strategic one and not a purchase order because the firm is keen to develop OLED panels for future Google Pixel smartphones.

But still Google has declined to comment on the report.

It looks like Google is going after Samsung to give it a competition in curved displays. Google devices are one of the best in the market but it seems like this time Google is looking to attain the number 1 position in smartphone industry giving the upcoming device the best build quality and looks with best hardware and software.
