Smartphones are getting thin and thin with each new generation and so are laptops. Some provides good feedback but some do not as more thin the smartphone goes less the battery will be. But when it comes to laptops everyone likes laptop with thin profile and those which are easy to carry around.
Acer has unveiled its Acer Swift 7 which they say that it’s the thinnest laptop with just 8.98mm thickness as per their press release. It also costs $1,699, a price that gets you always-on 4G LTE connectivity, a 14-inch Full HD touchscreen display, a seventh-generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and 256GB of PCIe SSD storage.
Acer Swift 7 supports both nano SIM and eSIM. Other highlights include a backlit keyboard, a Corning Gorilla Glass NBT touchscreen and touchpad, and a unibody aluminum chassis.
With the laptop you get a Windows 10 pre-installed and also you get a 10 hour battery life. But LTE aside, it’s really hard to look at the starting price tag of $1,699, and not consider something like the Dell XPS 13 or Lenovo Yoga 920, both of which sacrifice the Swift 7’s thinness for newer Intel processors, more RAM and storage space, and higher-resolution touchscreens at lower price points. The new Swift 7 will be available in March.
