WATFORD, ENGLAND - JUNE 06: Alex Jones, an American radio host, author and conspiracy theorist, addresses media and protesters in the protester encampment outside The Grove hotel, which is hosting the annual Bilderberg conference, on June 6, 2013 in Watford, England. The traditionally secretive conference, which has taken place since 1954, is expected to be attended by politicians, bank bosses, billionaires, chief executives and European royalty. YouTube deletes Alex Jones’ channel for violating its community guidelines

YouTube has removed Alex Jones’ page, following bans earlier Monday from Apple and Facebook. The Alex Jones Channel, which counts 2.4 million subscribers, still appeared in YouTube search results by midday Monday but presented only a take-down notice when users clicked in.

“This account has been terminated for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines,” the notice said. After being banned by Facebook, YouTube, and Apple, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones went on a four-hour rant to his “millions” of fans. In the video which runs for nearly four hours, the controversial commentator claims that the “sick cult of leftism” was trying to destroy him and his show.

His comments come after major tech companies Facebook, Apple, Spotify, and YouTube “terminated” his accounts and removed extremist material he had published to crackdown on the spread of hate speech and discrimination following protests across social media.

The outspoken creator of Infowars — a far-right news show produced by Jones in a secret location in Texas — broadcast his outburst on Twitter, one of the only platforms which haven’t banned him.

“Infowars is the most censored program in the world because we know the truth,” Jones said. “When you see … myself destroyed, remember Infowars, remember the free speech.”

In a statement, YouTube said Jones had violated its terms of service and community guidelines. “When users violate these policies repeatedly, like our policies against hate speech and harassment or our terms prohibiting circumvention of our enforcement measures, we terminate their accounts.”

Jones has amassed a large following on the right while spreading wild theories including the government carried out the 9/11 terror attacks.

Jones told The Washington Post that the termination of his accounts across multiple platforms today was “a counter-strike against the global awakening.
