Disney+ has revealed the cast for their new Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which is part of their latest movies and series that expand the Star Wars Universe.
Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen will take the role of Darth Wader. Other prominent stars joining the cast are: Joel Edgerton, Moses Ingram, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Indira Varma, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
The show, which is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, is set to begin shooting in April. The film saw the Jedi Master’s apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, turn evil as Darth Vader. The new series will be directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed two episodes of The Mandalorian‘s first season.
Disney+ has enjoyed several successes in recent weeks. The Marvel series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier became the most-watched series premiere on the streaming service alongside other fan favorites like WandaVision and the season two premiere of The Mandalorian.
