Historic Oscars night saw the first woman of color win Academy Award for Best Director. Chloé Zhao won the award for Nomadland and it was only the second time a woman won this award. The movie also won the award for Best Picture.

Among this Youn Yuh-Jung picked the award for Best Actress in supporting role for starring in Minari, becoming the only Korean to win this award. Celebrated veteran actor Anthony Hopkins took home his second Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in ‘The Father’.

Frances McDormand took her third Best Actress Oscar for Nomadland. Here is the full list of the winners:

Academy also paid tribute to some of the prominent figures such as Chadwick Boseman and Irfan Khan. Also, the order in which the awards were presented was changed with Best Actor being announced last and Best Picture was announced first.
