Bugatti Chiron Sport drag races a Dassault Rafael Jet

Bugatti has released a spectacular video showing its Chiron Sport racing French Navy’s Dassault Rafael Marine fighter jet in a runway showdown. Bugatti Chiron which has a 1,500-horsepower W16 engine is pit against a 5,648 horsepower jet.

The Bugatti Chiron in the video is “Les Légendes du Ciel” — or “Legends of the Sky”, this is a special edition Chiron Sport as a tribute to Bugatti’s aviation heritage and automakers racers over the decades.

There are going to be only 20 such cars and all of them will have a staggering price of $3.41 million USD. The car was first unveiled back in November last year.

Many successful Bugatti racing drivers, such as Albert Divo, Robert Benoist and Bartolomeo ‘Meo’ Costantini, flew for the French Air Force. It is therefore almost an obligation for us today to pay tribute to the legends of that time and dedicate a special edition to them.
