In a spectacular turn of events, Cristiano Ronaldo is going to join his old club Manchester Utd, after the club agreed to pay €25 million to Juventus.

This transfer window has seen various unprecedented transfers, and with a few days to go, there was news that Ronaldo was looking to move out of Juventus and was in contact with few clubs. One of them was Manchester City, but it turns out Man Utd decided to swoop in and finalized the deal for Ronaldo’s move back to the club.

In an official statement, the club has made the announcement of Ronaldo’s return to the club after 12 years:

Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.

In the latest of a string of exclusives, the MEN revealed United are planning a medical for Ronaldo in Lisbon and the 36-year-old is set to sign a two-year contract worth £480,000-a-week.

Ferguson’s intervention – as well as the backing of the Glazers – has prompted Ronaldo to settle on homecoming at United, the club he joined as an 18-year-old in 2003.
