This week Avengers: Endgame became the second highest grossing movie of all time surpassing Titanic at number 2. Well, this is something that was expected from a movie that was a result of a decade of hard work and storyline, with estimates of it surpassing Avatar too.
On this occasion, James Cameroon who was the director of Titanic posted a congratulatory post on Instagram for Endgame crossing Titanic, and this post is an epitome of the perfect congratulatory post.
Avengers: Endgame is on its way to even surpass Avatar which is also a Jame Cameroon movie, and it will be interesting to watch how the director reacts if this feat is achieved by Marvel.
Marvel fans were very delighted to watch James Cameroon’s humble response and praised him for his actions.
For some people this came as a big surprise as James Cameroon has earlier has shown disapproval for superhero movies, and he said:
“I’m hoping we’re going to start getting Avenger fatigue. Not that I don’t love the movies. It’s just, come on, guys, there are other stories to tell besides, you know, hypogonadal males without families doing death-defying things for two hours and wrecking cities in the process.”
These statements came after Black Panther crossed Titanic on US box office.
For now, Endgame has collected over $2.2 billion in less than 2 weeks of its release, whereas TItanic’s lifetime collections were $2.1 billion.
