Marvel reveals plans for MCU Phase 4: 10 big projects expected through 2021

With The Avengers End Game Marvel had concluded its Phase 3 months back and till now the fans were all hyped up to see what they have in store for the fans in Phase 4. The time has come to buckle up Marvel fans because you are finally going to go in a thrilling MCU Phase 4 ride with a bunch of new movies and series as soon as the year changes in the calendar. President Kevin Feige announced Marvel’s MCU Phase 4 in a 90-minute appearance in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con Marvel’s delivering a pretty lengthy update on Phase 4.

The Phase Four as presented by Marvel includes the following: Black Widow (May 1st, 2020), Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Fall 2020), The Eternals (November 6th, 2020), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12, 2021), WandaVision (Spring 2021), Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (May 7th, 2021), Loki (Spring 2021), What If (Summer 2021), Hawkeye (Fall 2021), and Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5th, 2021). Feige made a surprise announcement at the end saying that he didn’t have time to address where the Fantastic Four or X-Men would end up in the franchise, but that one additional project will be Blade, which will feature Mahershala Ali.


THOR: Love and Thunder

No doubt the most awaited Marvel movie is going to be the fourth installment of Thor. Thor 4’s title was announced at the ongoing San Diego Comic-Con. The film will be called Thor: Love and Thunder. Another major announcement was that Natalie Portman will be back as Jane Foster and would take up the mantle of Thor or goddess of thunder and wield will be interesting to see Jane foster as the goddess of thunder and to be honest this might be the movie which will be expected to break other Marvel movie records. Taika Waititi will be back to helm the fourth film as well along with actors Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. iO9 was told by Marvel that Thompson will be the first LGBTQ superhero in the MCU. Thor: Love and Thunder will be hitting theatres on November 5, 2021.


Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Another big Movie announced in Hall H at SDCC is Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen. Doctor Strange is well known for protecting the earth from mystical threats like Dormammu, horrors that the daylight world cannot even conceive, and he is the only one who can do it. Interestingly, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme will be joined by Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda and the movie will crossover with Disney+ series Marvel Studios’ WandaVision. The film will be released on May 7, 2021 with Scott Derrickson returning as the director.


The Eternals

The casting reports regarding The Eternals were indeed true. As the reports said, the film will star Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek. The actors will play the role of Ikaris, Kingo, Thena, and Ajak. Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, and others are also part of the film’s cast. If MCU really takes the storyline forward, The Eternals might become the next Avengers.

Apart from these super exciting movies bunch of other movies including Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings starring Tony Leung as Mandarin and Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson. But the black widow died in the end game, could she be alive? No, don’t get your hopes too high. The movie is set in the past timeline nearly after Avengers Civil War. A lot of other Marvel and Disney series are coming alongside these movies. If you are a person who likes feeding on series more than movies, you a might get chills hearing that several ongoing projects on Marvel series like Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, and What If?, are going to be featured in Disney’s forthcoming streaming service Disney +.


A lot has been cleared about the way Marvel’s Phase 4 is going to go in the coming years but definitely, we are expecting more projects and other updates related to Phase 4 soon.
