Did Apple accidentally reveal the rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro?

For a long time, Apple has been rumored to be working on a redesigned 16-inch Macbook Pro with a reliable keyboard and now we might have gotten a first look at the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, all thanks to the latest macOS Catalina 10.15.1 beta whose icon has given us the first authentic proof for the new device.

First published by MacGeneration, the icon is meant to portray the current computer used when viewing the Displays menu in System Preferences on macOS — that’s why the wallpaper is a pure throwback.

A first look on the image definitely points to a new larger MacBook with much thinner bezels surrounding the display however, there is no way to tell whether the company has actually introduced the new scissor-switch keyboard that’s rumored to be debuting on the 16-inch model to replace Apple’s heavily maligned butterfly switches presently used.

This is definitely not the first time the big tech giant accidentally leaked or revealed a new product design with its beta icons. the company confirmed the iPhone X’s redesign with a beta icon, as well as the iPhone XS Max and iPad Pro redesigns last year. Most recently, Apple’s rumored noise-canceling AirPod Pros might have made an appearance in the iOS 13.2 beta.

Also, there is no image that can provide us the information regarding the exact display measures, neither we can be 100 percent sure of what ports can be found on each side of the new MacBook. The new model, as depicted in the leaked image, is in both silver and space gray colors.

The second big Apple event will be falling soon in the month of October which is for the time being focused on iPad and Mac updates. But now with the leaked beta images the chances are high that the new 16-inch MacBook Pro might be the show stealer and will be officially announced by the company rumored starting price of $3000.
