Porsche releases its cheaper version of Taycan electric vehicles – Taycan 4S
Porsche has introduced a newer version for its Taycan EV models. The all-new Taycan 4S is the third model in the series and is the cheapest of all. Porsche has said that it is planning to introduce more Taycan EV models.
Porsche Taycan 4S is similar to the earlier released Taycan Turbo and Turbo S model in looks, while the former being lighter, cheaper and a slower version. 4S is a mid-range version of the all-electric sports car.
Taycan 4S delivers a power of 420kW which is lower than Turbo models. It will come in two battery sizes 79.2 and 93.4 kWh, with a focus on better range, but at the cost of restrained performance. It will go from 0-60 mph in 3.5 sec with a top speed of 155 mph.
Taycan 4S models in spite of being the cheapest will provide the ranges similar to higher-priced versions and in the case of the Taycan 4S Performance Battery Plus model it is highest in all Porsche Taycan EV models with 463 km.
Porsche Taycan totally resembles the design of its higher-priced predecessors and even most of the components are similar.
Porsche Taycan 4S will be sold in two models, the Performance battery model will start at $103,800, while the Performance Battery Plus model will start at $110,380. The cars are up for order and are expected to arrive at dealerships in the U.S in spring 2020.
This car takes Porsche a step closer to its goal of wanting to sell an electric car under $100,000.
